3rd Topic: The Musical Age

My favorite band is Rage Against the Machine. They can create loud and rhythmistic devices to entertain any rock audience. I just love their songs. They're kind of heavy metal and rap combined. I think my favorite RATM song is 'Wake Up,' it's got a wonderful tempo and rock feeling to get up and rock out like a maniac. I first heard it from the film 'The Matrix,' and I could not get enough of it.

Now, I have to say, film class is going pretty well. Let me tell you something funny: Last time I went to Intro to Media Tech, I went to first lunch since it was an A Day, but then, when I got there, I realized that the teacher decided to let us have last lunch for that one day, so I missed much of class that day. So the bad news: I missed class, but the good news: I didn't miss the point where we started filming our movie trailers, and I got to have lunch a second time.

I found a blog from Eliana Atia of Ms. Hollrah's 8th period, and it talks about how she is doing fine in all her classes except for math, which seems to drive her nuts; it always has. Now, I have not had many problems with math before, but it is getting harder for me too. Another from Adam Poole of Ms. Hollrah's, he states that he is loving school right now, because there is so much to learn.

2nd Topic: 5 themes of geography

Movement
This refers to moving things like goods and services from one location to another, also, in other words, get the supplies you need for your home from other locations.
In comparison with Austin, we make goods such as agricultural plants, ranging from corn to peas; also, AMD makes chips for computers and other computer-generated materials.

Region
Regions specify one space in the world that is notified for having a landmark in that area.
In comparison with Austin, a few landmarks we have here include most notably the Texas State Capitol, where our governor, Rick Perry (he's the guy who appeared on Countdown as the Worst Person in the World, by the way) lives and works.

Human Environment
Usually referred to as Human Environment Interaction (HEI), Human Environment's goal is to blend people together into groups to form specific buildings and structures, like towers, bridges, and homes.
In comparison with Austin, to note again, HEI built the State Capitol as well as the South Congress bridge.

Location
Location refers to the exact place on the map you'll find a certain city or state or country or continent.
You'll find Austin on the World Map on the continent of North America in the State of Texas; it's usually near the upper-left hand corner of the map.

Place
This refers to notable things surrounding specific landmarks.
In comparison with Austin, Downtown contains many landmark buildings such as Frost Bank, many restaurants, and of course, the State Capitol. Also, fairs come to our town occasionally, which doesn't happen in notable parts of town.

My life in Anderson High is sometimes stressful, with lots of homework and responsibility, but I'm proud with my sense of humor. I'm reaching out to my teachers as well as the kindest students on the campus.
By the way, I got a permission slip to go to the 16th Annual Austin Film Festival next Friday. How cool is that, huh?

A blog I have read comes from Maddie Niemann of Ms. Hollrah's 3rd period. She is a big fan of dancing and seems to have a happy family. She also has a problem with waking up in the morning for band practice, but luckily, football season will end sooner than she thinks.

Topic #1

Welcome to Cullen's blog.

My name is Cullen Patrick Nash, and I am here to share my past interests and passions. Just about my favorite things in the world are movies, football, baseball, and writing.

Since I love movies, I think it's only fair to give you my top 10 list: 1. Watchmen, 2. The Dark Knight, 3. The Matrix, 4. The Wrestler, 5. Grave of the Fireflies, 6. Terminator 2: Judgment Day, 7. A Clockwork Orange, 8. Saving Private Ryan, 9. One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, 10. State of Play. I have wrote a screenplay before, and am working on a new one now. I am also looking into acting and directing. I have heard before that the road to the reels is rough and complicated. But I will work hard to acheive my goal.

Baseball used to be my favorite sport ever. But now, I realize the energy of football, whereas even though you do get hurt more, you get to run around and bring players down with one big tackle. You get to give people the drink. Everything.

My first two weeks haven't been perfect. I have been receiving loads of homework which kind of stresses me out. But on A Days my homework is quite easy. I enjoy my film class where we get to learn about shots and watch movies. Aside from that, I have a lot of catching up to do.

Reading from other peoples' blogs, I have to positively comment on a couple of them. One of them, by Kenya Collins in Ms. Hollrah's class, states that she is into sports, which means she's a very energetic and competitive girl. Another by Heath Eiland states that he has had two friends named Tyler and Paul. He has known them since he was 5. I find it quite lucky for him to have lifelong friends.

So that is my life lookout to you. I certainly hope you can try to enter my mind and share things from a new perspective.
